Raw Halo

Forever a chocolate lover, in 2012 the seed for Raw Halo was planted after I reduced the sugar in my diet. I’ve always believed in a little everyday indulgence, but over the years, I’ve become more mindful about what goes into my food.

The idea started as a simple wish: I wanted to pick up a chocolate bar, count the ingredients on one hand, understand all of them, and for the chocolate to taste delicious. I couldn’t find that bar though, so I decided to make my own.

I began with a simple blend of raw cacao and a touch of coconut sugar, which was an instant hit with friends and family.

They encouraged me to dream big… and I did. In 2014, I started Raw Halo, making organic raw chocolate from ethically-sourced, plant-based ingredients, with shine, snap and smoothness in every bite.

I started producing small batches from my home kitchen, delivering bars by hand to local, organic stores. The business quickly proved to be a winner, and I soon needed an extra pair of hands. My husband, Jonathan joined the team and together we now run Raw Halo.

Almost seven years on, you can find Raw Halo in your favourite shops in the UK and overseas. Our passion for making the best-tasting raw chocolate will never change.

Planting trees is a simple and effective way to make a postive impact on the planet. Trees clean the air we breathe and the water we drink. They help stabilise our climate, provide habitat for biodiversity, and create sustainable jobs. They make us feel good too. That’s why we’re proud to be partnering with One Tree Planted. For every fifty bars we sell, we’ll plant a tree in either the Andes forests in Peru, or Tanjung National Park in Indonesia, to give back to the communities that make our chocolate possible. One Tree Planted are a non-profit based in Vermont. They work with amazing reforestation partners around the world. Their mission simply put – helping to get trees in the ground.

We source our ingredients from small, organic farms that trade their produce for a fair price and treat their communities well. We produce our chocolate in partnership with a social enterprise chocolate factory, a company that helps people reach their full potential. Rich single-origin raw cacao and coconut sugar with caramel notes create our dark 76% chocolate. With added lucuma powder and creamed coconut for our dreamy vegan mylk chocolate.
